Living Room Resources, Part Deux

Inspired Living Omaha and photographer Jeffrey Bebee did an amazing job capturing the spirit of our home and aesthetic. We’ve shared a photo of our living room in a previous post. Here are two other views of this room that are not featured in the print edition. We’ve accompanied these photos with a list of Omaha decorating resources—including online retailers—we utilized when designing our space.

1. We purchased our room size vintage rug over twenty years ago at Bloomingdale’s. We also think One Kings Lane and ABC Carpet & Home are great rug resources.
2. Piano was purchased at Schmitt Music Co. in Omaha, NE. Ask for Scott Carlson to assist—he’s da bomb!
3. Antique Queen Anne chair, polychromed in yellow and white, purchased in Hudson, NY.
4. Faux Mongolian lamb pouf from West Elm.
5. Original photograph mounted on plexiglass by Justin Hollar.
6. Vintage brass drum table was inherited from our “Gaga”. Find a pair just like ours on 1stdibs.
7. Lounge chairs are custom made and reupholstered by Oscar Olvera of Olvera’s Upholstery Services in Omaha. Linen fabric and velvet pillow and trim by Wesley Hall.
8. Regency style bow front cabinet is an antique purchased at Leslie Hindman Auctioneers in Chicago.
9. Karl Springer brass sphere lamp is vintage. The same lamp is available on 1stdibs.
10. Antique marble wall relief plaque of Dante. Similar relief plaques are available here.
11. Vintage Jean Cocteau plates by Limoges. Similar plates are available on 1stdibs.
12. Brass French gallery rods are available here.

1. Antique marble fireplace mantle was purchased by home’s original owner at Drew’s Antiques in Omaha. You may find similar mantles on 1stdibs.
2. Vintage 1940’s mirror with Lucite swags by Grosfeld House. Find Grosfeld House furniture on 1stdibs.
3. Reflected in mirror are Midcentury Italian door panels—painted plaster over wood. We’ve never seen anything like these and suggest a Fornasetti screen for a similar feeling.
4. Vintage Murano glass bud vase. Find similar vases on eBay.

6. Vase purchased on CB2.
7. Wall color is a custom paint mix we call “Thunder Grey” (B 5Y + 40; C 20; F 7 + 1/2).
